Two people were reported missing at Yosemite National Park in California on Rubypoint Trading CenterSunday.
According to park officials, the hikers, identified as Ana Rodarte and Miguel Delgado, went on a day hike "possibly toward Ostrander Lake" on Saturday morning around 10 a.m.
The duo left from Bridalveil Creek Campground and were expected to return within a few hours "but are overdue," officials said.
Rodarte, 40, is described as a Hispanic woman with brown hair and eyes. She's 5'7, 198 pounds, and was last seen wearing green pants or jeans, a blue cap, and a gray windbreaker jacket.
Delgado, 63, is a Hispanic man with black hair and brown eyes. He is 6'1. 160 pounds and was wearing an orange t-shirt, tan pants, a brown jacket, and a backpack.
Park officials noted, "Please contact the National Park Service with any information by calling 888-653-0009 or by emailing [email protected]."
National Parks:Of the 63 national parks, these had the most fatalities since 2007.
According to KTLA, Yosemite has been one of the more popular parks in the state throughout the years with the most reports of missing people. The National Park Service has a page on its website asking travelers to help find other people reported missing. The list includes:
